Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former worker in a factory. Sharon was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her brothers and sisters. Stone was in second grade when she was five years old. She was considered as being academically gifted. In 1975 she was a graduate of Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She was crowned Miss Crawford County, she was also a part of the Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone relocated together with her aunt from New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. After a year spent living in Milan and Paris and then moving to Europe. Stone was unhappy with the model business in Europe, and chose to pursue acting instead. She was 20 when she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories," that received mixed praises.
