Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a journalist as well as an author, and is the anchor for CNN's morning show "New Day." She is a resident of Westport, CT, and was appointed to the Westport Country Playhouse's Board trustees. Camerota was an editor for more than 30 years, was a reporter for news and events worldwide and across the country. She was awarded an Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the devastating news of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was named an honorary board member after being on the board for more than seven year. Anna Czekaj Farber, who currently serves as chair of the Westport board following her time in the board since 2013, has also been named the new board member. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was chairperson since October 2015, and continues serving on the board from 2006. The Playhouse's board of trustees has 26 members.
