Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on the 19th of January the 19th of January, 2008. She was an American film, television and voice actress. 1. Pleshette started her career in the theatre and began appearing in films in the late 1950s. She later appeared in films with a prominent name like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she was a part of various TV productions, mostly in guest roles. She also was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
